Redeemer Sports exists to impact the community for Jesus Christ through the ministry of Sports. Sports are God’s gifts and, at Redeemer Sports, sports are used as a tool to introduce people to Jesus Christ and shape them into people of Christian character. By participating in sports at Redeemer Sports, you can expect the following:
1. Coaches who are more concerned in teaching the skills of the sport and loving his/her players and families than winning games.
2. Christ-centered devotions at practices & team prayer after/before games.
3. One practice per week.
4. Games played primarily on practice nights.
5. Competitive playing time for all players.
6. Rules adjusted based on the age of the league.
We exist to help families find and follow Jesus Christ while glorifying God in playing sports. Our coaches will be sharing their story and verses from the Bible about the good news of Jesus at every practice. These devotions will help teach how we can have a personal relationship with Jesus and know him as our personal savior.
Coaches Needed
There is nothing greater than sharing the love of Christ to children and families through the vehicle of sports! If you are interested in serving as a head coach, field crew, or a concession stand worker please contact the sports office at sports@firstredeemer.org. TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED.
The Fall baseball season is a Player Development Program. The eight-week session will be held on Tuesday nights on the following dates: August 11, 18, 25, September 1, 8, 15, 22, & 29. Players will practice and play on the same night each week. In 2026, that night will be Tuesday. If weather is an issue, make-up dates will be on the Thursday of that same week. The goal of the program is for players to improve their skills, play some games, have some fun, and prepare for the spring season. Players will practice and play with their age group each week. That schedule is as follows:
4-6 Tee Ball - Practice and play 5:00-6:00 p.m. on Field 1.
7-9 Baseball - Practice 5:30-6:00 p.m. on Field 3 and play 6:00-7:30 p.m. on Field 1.
10-12 Baseball - Practice 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Field 2 and play 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Field 2
Players will be coached by parent volunteers and will also receive some professional coaching from our partners at D-Bat. All games will be pick-up. The 7-9 and 10-12 divisions will have an umpire for their games.
1. Children will not be allowed to play down a grade level.
2. Children will play in their current age group unless they are approved by Redeemer Sports to play up an age level.
e. We are not able to accommodate special requests for team placement, practice schedules or car pooling. The goal of Redeemer Sports is to provide an atmosphere focused on player development in a Christian environment. Teams are created with this goal in mind. We understand the desire to request specific teams or practice schedules, but it is simply not possible as we strive to reach our goal.
